On a recent flight to the slope I sat next to a guy who works for Peak Oilfield Services. He mentioned that Peak was going to be incredibly busy this winter. They anticipate hiring nearly 200 seasonal workers to handle their ice-road construction. I asked what positions will be in high demand and he said they’ll need plenty of truck drivers and heavy equipment operators.

Hiring for the winter ice-road season is underway. Temperatures have really dropped lately which means construction is starting to gear up big time.
