In a recent article, BP Alaska President John Minge stated that BP, Exxon Mobil and ConocoPhillips were making progress towards agreement on an in-state liquefied natural gas line. Meanwhile, TransCanada and Exxon continue to work on plans for a large diameter Alaska natural gas line stretching from the North Slope into Alberta, Canada.

Either of these projects would result in thousands of jobs…the big question is which, if any, of these lines will be built? Those of you interested in keeping tabs on these projects will find up-to-date information in the Anchorage Daily News and the Petroleum News - both are available online.
