100+ Slope Jobs – NDE/Electricians/Carpenters/Mechanics/Rig work/Apprentices/Laborers/Cooks/etc. December 11, 2009 |
| Hi, It's been awhile since I've seen entry-level jobs being advertised, but take a look below and you'll find some apprentice, laborer & trainee openings. For those of you with job experience there are quite a few choices – especially for electricians and mechanics. Both Frontier and Parker Drilling are still advertising for lots of hands. The Parker jobs are for BP's Liberty development which is a definite go. The rig is onsite and it's a matter of "when" it will be ready to be put in production. My sources tell me the date has been pushed back a month or two from January 2010 to around March. Now, Frontier is facing a different situation. They're working with Shell to drill exploratory wells in Shell's Beaufort & Chukchi Sea leases. The problem is that Shell is still waiting for permits to be issued to allow them to proceed. Everyone is hopeful that Frontier will be allowed to drill 2 wells in the Beaufort and 3 in the Chukchi during the summer of 2010. The same vessels will be involved in both drilling programs. If you find yourself working for them you'll get to see a large percentage of Alaska's Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). If you're qualified for the Frontier positions be sure to send them a resume, but don't expect to hear anything until early 2010. That's when Shell will decide whether or not they can go ahead with the summer drilling program. Remember, to apply for a position you’ll need to submit your application/résumé directly with the company advertising the opening. You cannot apply for a job through my website.
If asked where you heard about a job opening, please mention my website. Thanks!
Links for each employer can be found on the Job Resources page of
www.AlaskaPipelineJobInfo.com Once on a company’s website look for a “jobs” or “career” link. When you find the position you're interested in, apply directly online with that company. ACUREN

If you try to scroll through the forms you'll find that you can't – there isn't even a scroll bar to grab. Use the TAB key on your keyboard to move from field to field.
These positions have not (yet) been posted on their site so you'll want to submit your resume through CareerBuilder.
